Michelle Moog-Koussa: The Gear Spotlight

A conversation with Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation. Michelle was there as countless historic instruments were being developed in the workshop of her dad, Dr. Bob Moog. She has an amazing perspective on how those instruments became part of the toolbox of modern music, through her life in the home of an inventor, and her lifelong friendships with a whirlwind of keyboardists and synthesists. Online and at the Asheville-based Moogseum, the Foundation preserves Bob Moog’s archives, blueprints and selected instruments, and teaches the science of sound through Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool. We will discuss all that and the annual Moog Raffle that features a classic Moog instrument.
